What's everyone working on right now? Art? Mods?
Has anyone thought about making a design without any walls, just using backgrounds and blocked areas? -manikus |

Working on 2 designs right now.
My 'main' on is on hold right now waiting for some fixes from the almighty 'Spud. The other design I am working on is a conversion of an old FRUA design I recently enjoyed. Progress on that one is moving along quite nicely. If everything goes well, I might be able to release it in a month (or so). And of course, I just finished that character editor utility (see my website). It is not terribly useful right now, but does work as a 'proof of concept'....or so to speak. ![]() As for your design without walls....Trippy man! ![]()

I was considering how to do a 3d view without any overland maps; and how do do a perspective of what lays out in front of you while walking around. What I mean by this is you could crest a hill and be looking down into a tree filled valley and it'd be more than three steps into the valley; so you could see farther than the three steps and each step would move the treeline a little closer. I dunno how well the idea would work, tho.
As for projects; after the turn of the new year my life became a LOT busier than I thought. This is kinda a good thing as the three main problems I had are resolved (summary: needed better job (got one), I play in a band (we got a practice place now!!!!), my daughter's mom wouldn't let me see her (got to see her last week!!!!) WOO HOO!!!!) I still have the plans to go ahead with my massive campaign; but I figure to start small with a few mini-mods. I have the plan to do several related mini-mods and then link them together into a small campaign module. The main question is WHEN at this point... I will be getting into the next art contest, tho. ![]() And Tarlanon, what do you mean by "character editor"??? might this be the first step in the custom character design process????? ![]() SilentThief

The topic is current projects, so I thot I'd share whots up.
I'm in the process of DL-ing the current version of DC RIGHT NOW, and putting it on my laptop. The thing is, I don't have an ability to get online with the Laptop yet. SO, I have to DL it here to this machine, then copy it manually (piece by piece) thru a 3 1/2 diskette ![]() Tarlanon, I also don't know your page address (I wanna see this character editor...), so if you wanna post up a link..??? http://home.earthlink.net/~tarlanon Then go to the Dungeon Craft page. Keep in mind that this 'editor' is what would be considered pre-alpha in my world, so use at your own risk. And as I mention in the docs (if you could call them that) the only thing you can monkey with right now is the basic attributes. Also, for reasons I am still investigating, DC doesn't 'automatically' give your character the bonuses (or penalties) that attribute levels give. I'm sure there is a way to trigger DC to do it in game, but I am not sure yet how that is done. Eventually, I hope to update the editor to be able to modify all the fundamental character attributes, including Hit Points, AC, THAC0, etc. and the editor will calculate and store the bonuses along with the character so nothing extra has to be done in DC. Try it out if you like, let me know if you have any problems.
