On the First Bough, heading toward the elevator, I noticed an unlit brazier. I clicked on it, and it said I required a special item. Of course, I thought it was like the braziers in the blue marble room, and bought incense to light, but it didn't work. Is this something to figure out later in the game? It's right around the elevator area, or possibly before you get to the big circle heading to the elevator. Look for it, it's damned odd. Hints and tips are appreciated.

i think the general consensus on that particular brazier is, uh... dunno.
lol. sorry, but so far no one can seem to figger that one out. i read recently that someone thot it was part of an unfinished doo-hickey quest thingie.  V***V

I read somehwere that it was just meant to be a green flaming brazier like the others, and that this had een repaired in the latest (version 4) patch. Dunno if that last is true -I am still running patch version 2 with no difficulties.

it's not repaired. i sent 2 groups by, in different stages of the game and it remains unlit. and i have the latest patch.  V***V

My guess is that it was going to be the staging ground for the fourth hidden dungeon.

The VN board had a post from one of the SirTech folks suggesting it was an accident. Apparently, it no longer suggests an item is needed w/v1.2.4.
