RPC persistance

I really like Sparkle, but she seems to be scared of half Dominus.

Unfortuately a RPC that half the time is somwhere else, or has halved stats is not very useful, so I'm thinkin of exchanging her for another one.
Is there a list of NPC's and which places they won't follow you?

Try looking up Wizardry 8 at GameFaqs.com, I believe I recall seeing an RPC faq there which gave some of those details. I ran away quickly, though, because I'm not very far into the game and didn't want to spoil anything.

You won't find Rodan until late in the game and his stats are not that impressive. I would suggest RFS-81.

I'm going to rescue him asap. Rodan has been my pal back on Guardia, I know I can count on him.

Blackhand, you can only get Rodan as long as you take Drazic too. Plus you can only get to those two IF you have two of the three artifacts on you. Lastly, they will automatically leave you once you complete the quest they are associated with. It's not worth it. If you want two RPCs that will accompany you to more areas without complaining and that you can get relatively early in the game, RFS-81 will go every place but one. Vi Domina will accompany you willingly to most places (other than the Rapax areas and the Bayjin areas) and even then you can force her to accompany you to places she doesn't like. By that point she should be built up enough that even with the -20 to all skills and stats she suffers while in there she can still be of valuable assistance to your party.

The reduction in stats doesn't bother me nearly as much as the whining. Vi may be able to hold her own in places she doesn't like, but she gets on my nerves. It was her whining (and not greed for experience) that led me to decide against using RPCs.
