Boy, do I ever appreciate the tip that anyone who casts Alchemy spells can combine potions -- all this time I thought it was just Alchemists! My Bishop is now running around to merchants picking up all the Moderate Heal potions she can trying to get her Alchemy skill up.

From a skill boosting point of view, does it matter if you combine the potions one at a time instead of in packs of 5? Splitting the potions up is an inconvenience, but I'll do it if it gives me five times as many opportunities to get points.

Also, I know that I've seen a site at some point that had skill levels for all of the recipies, but now I can't find it. Any pointers?

Hi there - well your alchemy skill will actually go up faster if you mix the potions individually, one potion at a time. So you'd somehow get more experience mixing 1 potion of light heal and 1 potion of moderate heal together 5 times rather than mixing 2 "5 packs" of them together. You make 5 heavy heals either way, but the slow way helps in Wiz8 training terms.

Here's a link to jandrall's site offhand, it's old content but the potion stuff there should be fine:

Jandrall's site (which I adore) has as comprehensive a list of recipes as I've seen, but unfortunately only about a third of them have skill levels marked on them.
