If you have played the first one then you probably don't want this one. but if you have nothing to do then go ahead and buy it.

Why is that? Is this game worse than the first?

Legends is a 15- to 20-hour long expansion that packs more of the same type of dungeon-crawling gameplay from the original--with an emphasis on the "crawling" part. Here is the complete review.

It's better than the original, with more backstory and cut scenes. There are also new monsters, pack animals, spells and items, including set items like in Diablo II.
Get it only if you liked Dungeon Siege.

Okay, I'll confess, I enjoyed playing Dungeon Siege! True, I enjoyed the BG series,IWD even Divine Divinity considerably more, and I just finished NWN which was down right one of my best RPG experiences, but I really liked the graphics in DS. The story... what story? Nevertheless, for mindless, though at times demanding hack and slash entertainment, DS was at least fun in moderate doses.
After reading about the expansion Legends of Aranna I think I'll hold off until it is the bargain bin. |
