I know, I know, I promise I'll shut up soon! I was wasting precious minutes of my life with mr mudcrab, as you do, barter, rest, barter, you know the drill, when suddenly in the middle of resting a guar showed up and somehow in the fracas the mudcrab died. I know, sad. I was fond of the little guy. and obviously I went back and loaded my autosave. However, then an evil thought struck me. Supposing once I've loaded the expansions which supposedly have better merchants...... just supposing he had a little "accident" - I could take all the cool stuff I 've sold him and I'd be rich beyond my wildest dreams!!!!!!!! evil cackle. Just a thought

Umm, no better merchants than that mudcrab. Unless you download a mod/plugin/whatever-you-want-to-call-it that happens to give you new merchants or ups the gold found on currently existing merchants.

My guess is that items sold to crabby are gone forever, unlike other merchants-- its been a while, but I don't *think* you can buy from him, can you?

Actually, items sold to the Creeper and the Mudcrab become a permanent part of their shop inventory, unless you buy them back.

You can most definately buy them back or else the trade rest repeat method wouldn't work to get the full gold value out of the super priced items

Rich? For what reason?
I have over 5mil in weapons and armor sprawled about the floor, lying on the bed, stacked up on the table, and on.
I carry about 100k sepins on adventure, and have about 750k in equiped items.
I have yet to find the life of the famed and priveledged in all of Morrowind.

oh dear oh dear, how deeply sad!! lol I haven't looked, but I assume there's not much to spend your money on in there if you're a straight girl! Perhaps there should be a Rodeo Drive mod to keep us ladies happy!!
