I had the demo a long time ago and decided that I wanted to play the full version, so I set about trying to find it, expecting to have to pay, but I found that it was free to download.
This game Kicks ass!!!
Mainly because I can play it online with my measly 56k modem without any lag.
Anyway, just wondering, does anyone else here play online???
It would be fun to play with someone else I know.

Also, I have a question...
Does anyone know if it is possible to change the default setup of your character?
You always start of with Medium armor(I think), a disk launcher, machine gun, blaster and an energy pack.
I dont want to have to go to the inventory station every time I re-spawn(which is alot)

After your post I went and d/l Tribes. I am addicted! I've always been a huge fan of 1st person shooters, but I'd never played one online before. Thanks for the heads up.

I wish I knew how to change the weapons you start with--I think they suck. If you want some diff. ones, try playing paintball. I like it a lot more than CTF. It's usually in smaller areas and its "one shot one kill". Very fast paced.

Well what servers do you play on?
I usually hang around the Deadly Family servers, or the majorgeeks server.

Where did you download it? How long did it take for 56k to download it? really no lag at all?

You can't change the default loadup, hence the chaos caused by "base raping". The best idea is to set up a favourite for the things you do. And always take the extras, there is no weight factor in the game so it is a good benefit to carry them around.

Kakero, you can download it from www.download.com although its about 90 meg or so, its an oldie, but its a REALLY goodie.
Yeah, I use favourites all the time, although it is annoying going into the games, where thay have custom weapons, and your favourite dont work...
Still an excellent game though.

I usually play on King Tomato's servers. They're either paintball or speedball (same thing only faster). On some of his servers you can set up an account that keeps track of your kills and deaths and awards points. You get money for kills that you can buy better guns with and you always automatically start with whatever gun you had before.
