How do i get out of the mind flayer place in the under dark?

You have to kill the big brain.

You'll have to fight in the arena a few times.
Then try opening the upper door on your cell.
Make a deal with the guys you find there.
Fight one more battle. Escape from the arena.
You should be able to figure it out from here, just one note there are doors that can only be opened by a Mind Flayer, you'll have to find a good way to control one.

the doors can also be opened by a Slayer, if your really desperate (or stupid enough to run out of ways to control a flayer) (like me)

There is one illithid in the area where you get the serum at first place(NOT the brine potion) that will always respawn and so you cannot run out of illithids.
If you run out of circlets though...
