I'm sitting here thinking of a game I played long ago. well actually it was a demo. I remember enjoying it but never getting round to buying it. I'm guessing that it came out around 99 or 2000.

Anyways, it was an rpg. You created your character in the beginning of the game as usual. You could choose to be a mage (perhaps differents kinds, i remember seeing a necromancer.), warrior or archer i think (maybe also a thief as that seems logical). In the demo you could only play a warrior.

There are a couple of things I remember fascinated me about this game. Your charachter was really small, when you fought you just chose which foe to fight and they fought without your help (eg not like diablo where you have to click for each swing, more like age of empires).

You had so many options of what to wear, first (as a warrior at least) you had clothes on, like leather, then some kind of ring mail, and on top of that you had plate. it seemed very realistic. Ofcourse you could also equip boots, helms, rings, amulets and shields etc.

There was some kind of tavern where you could join with people and do their quest in new areas, then they would follow you. It seemed that you could form small armies which also intruiged me. In the demo you could only join one of them and do one quest after the initial one.

I realize that this dosen't tell you much but if someone knows the name of this game i would very much apritiate it!

Feel free to ask if you need more information. Thanks in advace!

EDIT: corrected many typos, there are probably many more.

Very simple game really, but what I've seen is quite fun. Some of my friends have been playing Rage of Mages 2 online recently. I haven't played it much, but might do one day. Nice guess too Dreamer!
