Anyone else here play that game ?
I find this version extremely difficult. I mean, in the first version, 1602 A.D. you build a settlement, provide the people with what they need (which is cloth, food, alcohol and tobacco at first, other resources are required later in the game), and once they all have it, you can raise taxes and the money comes rolling in. Nothing like that in 1503 though. Besides the fact that your citizens need much more natural resources, you can't collect taxes. You'll have to make money through trade and selling your resources in little shops. By the time you created all the farms, mines, and workplaces you need for those resources, you'll be losing money like mad. No matter what i try, i'm always in red figures. If anyone here plays this game, i'd like to hear some tips on how to start off more profitable then i'm doing now.

I returned this game.
I gave it a nights worth of playing. For some reason I thought it would be like age of empires, it looks like it. But its really something like the sim city more than anything else. I did not absorb the point of it its sort of just watching an ant farm. So, I give it a bad review but some people like sim city too. Why it just escapes me I dont understand this type of game |

I agree that it's not an easy game to play, just like SimCity, but i like the challenge. I'm not looking for games that are finished in a few days, and will collect dust for the rest of the time.
