well, the search engine seems to be missing, so i have to ask. a while back, there was a post concerning names for characters. someone put a link to a page with a random name generator. i was wondering if anyone has that still, and if so, could you put it up, so i can get it. i got a new hard-drive, and lost it. thanx in advance.

The best name generator I know of is a foreign dictionary.
Just put in any word, and look it up online in a suitably exotic language--Finnish, Armenian, Hungarian and Russian are good. Compound words are fine, too: "Knife night" is Nochnozh, a wonderful-sounding assassin's name, IMO. [img]smile.gif[/img]

I name most of my DAOC characters by using the appendix to the Silmarillion. Great names or compound words to be found there.

Take a gander at www.rpgweb.com ... I found that site after I was prompted to look for name generators from this very post. This though, is free, and much more than a name generator... take a look...
