Good riddance I say to bad rubbish!
Ladies and gentlemen, a piece of ridiculous legislation has expired. Some common-sense (or a desire to not get fired) has prevailed in Congress, and an ineffectual and ridiculous law is gone! Title XI of the 1994 Crime Bill, AKA Assault Weapons Ban expired today as prescribed by its sunset clause in the original bill. For once, someone's going to admit they were wrong, and this legislation's non-effect on crime is going to be noted... Good day to ye, foul stench of paper and ink!
