Why don't standard EZ Board codes work on this board?

ex: normally on EZ Board if I post a line coded like this:

[img] http://www.stomptokyo.com/godzillate...s/godline2.gif [/img]

an image of a Godzilla will appear. What's different with the coding on this board that this command will not work? Is there a listing of command functions in the format that this board will accept somewhere on the board?

Well first of all you need to remove the spaces between the img tags and your URL (I guess you did this earlier right?). The you need to put that annoying little http:// in front as well. . See?

Neener, neener, neener Bob. [img]tongue.gif[/img] ROTFL!

That particular code doesn't work because you're forgetting the "http://" part at the beginning, I believe.

Well, this is not an EZ Board. It's UBB. You almost had it right as Willow has so .... well .... pointed out [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img] .

For help on UBB try here.

typing "[image][/image]" on EZ Board works. Evidently on UBB the code is
"[img][/img]". Also, EZ Board won't accept the "http://" portion (but evidently UBB will. (If you use both, you'll see what I mean)

OK...and I see that "[link][/link]" becomes ""

But how do you post sounds? (wav files)

You don't. You're not allowed to. Too much of a hassle for 56k modem users, and it's not really a good thing when people are visiting Ironworks (secretly) from work and suddenly someone's wav-file starts to blow from their speakers.

A long long time ago, when we first made the jump from the legendary blue-boarding days to the current brownish...Ziroc was testing and entertaining the idea of having sounds available. He decided after a day or so that we would not offer that feature. I remember Memnoch being an executive tester of that feature.
