all mook party?

I'm starting up a new game with an all-mook party (I know it limits a few items in Flame's mod) and curious if anyone's tried it yet. I'm particularly curious to see what happens when I get to Arnika. I wonder if there'll be a "favored mook" or if they'll all get invited in?

They only let in one mook. I guess they pick the one that most looks like Chewbacca, but to me, that's all mooks, including the girls.

I like Mooks as they have decent magic resistances and good SPD, DEX & SEN and are my favourite Ranger build. However, they do tend to have low Speed and Piety. Also I think they are vastly under-rated Fighters, especially with the Giant Sword.

Before Flame's mod I tried a 4 Mook party to get all 4 Giant Swords in the game. Lord, Samurai, Ranger and Fighter. Only drawback was that my Lord spent more time casting Rest All than fighting. Should have concentrated more on STR & VIT.

Anyway, I digress. In Flame's latest version of her mod, there's a very nice Mook only amulet (wearable by all classes) sold by Bela which gives +1 to HP, SP and Stamina, AC +3, +15 to DEX, +15 to Snake Speed and 15% to Fire, Air and Earth resistances, so make a beeline for Bela asap. Bit costly though, 15,000-20,000 a time depending on your Communications skills.

Incidentally what's your party consist of?

All-Mook parties baffle the logic at the Embassy. I don't know if the latest patch fixes it, but the game crashes when you try to go in there. I know, i tried. Solo Mook works fine. I haven't tried more than one Mook and others, but all-Mook fails, at least on patch 001b.

On the last version 1.2.4 I think, taking two or more mooks will result in only one getting invited. not sure if that also applies to all mook or full parties ... it's been a long time.

You know, soon as I started the party, things got busy (visa application time again -_- so haven't really gotten into the party yet.
I think the party was made up of: (all mook of course)
Lord
Samurai
Bard
Gadgeteer
Alchemist (with chatoic 2 voice. i love that voice!)
Psionic

I'm pretty sure I can blow through the game with it, but mainly I'm just doing it for kicks and giggles. Ascended once with a different party, and got close with a different one (so so close, then the game got corrupted! aaaaagh!)

I always play 6, and I'd play 8 if I could. Don't really bother with training much, don't care about super advancement. (I tried it once with the party that got wiped out by the corruption, level 26-28 and about to switch mage to priest and priest to mage.) My problem (?) is that I think there are way too many cool classes and always always agonize over what party to take with me.

I play 1.2.4, and come to think of it may have had a party with 2 mook make it to Arnika. But like I said, this party is just for fun, and entertained some weird fantasy that the UMA would welcome my whole party fondly. Judging from the posts, they won't, but that's okay. Next time the mook psionic backfires and insanity spell on the whole party, I'll just pretend she was steamed at not being chosen to enter the UMA outpost.
