I've been seeing a few posts lately concerned with what is "spoiling" and what is not. Basically, the guidelines are:

1. Please keep spoiler-type information out of topic headings, especially those that give away specific plot information.

2. If the spoiler is in response to a direct request from someone else, you need not put a SPOILER ALERT: header in your response, since that person obviously wishes to be "spoiled" as to what to do.

3. If you are giving unsolicited advice, DO put the SPOILER ALERT: header on your post with at least 12 blank lines (or more) so that if the participant does not wish to be spoiled, they can back out of that thread.

Thanks!

Cheers,
-Sazerac

Can you make this post sticky or something? It will probably be needed.

We can't do "sticky" posts anymore, but I can keep it "bumped." Don't bump, though, unless it's about to fall off the first page. Thanks!

This policy is accessible by clicking on the Rules and Regulations button on the top right hand of the page.

Also, if you feel that someone has posted an unmarked spoiler unintentionally, being polite when communicating this to them never hurts.

Likewise, if it bothers you that someone is calling someone else on posting a spoiler, being polite in pointing this out to them also never hurts.
