Pissed with patches

I decided to put Neverwinter Nights back in this week. I figured I'd put the last patch back in 'cos the games' crappy dor some reason. So I do a search and find it at Bioware. I click on it just to be sent to file planet or something.
The you gotta click 2 or 3 more times to get past the ads. Then they want your email addres etc.
I bought the damn game! Why is it always such a pain to download these patches?

I never had any problems patching my NWN game, in fact, you don't have to do a thing at all. Once installed, the game will automatically pick up the latest patch if you want it to. It may tak a few minutes, but that's all there is to it.

On the very first load screen, where it says Play, Tool Set, etc, there is an update button. If you push that, it will check for any updates, and find the best server to get them from, and automatically download, and install them.

If the auto update button doesn't work (mine never does!), then go to Bioware's site and follow the links to NWN downloads. Never had any trouble dling directly from them (don't use FilePlanet or the others if I can avoid them).

Never had a problem with the Autoupdate. But if it fails then Click Here

Note: They have 2 hosted files.
1. Is Fileplanet
2. Is Bioware

Use Bioware for direct access to the file.

ok NWN aside, it's often a pain to get patches and updates.

Well GW has a great way of handling patches. As soon as you log into the game all patches and updates are streamed to you. Makes it nice and easy.
