When I ordered their product yesterday, it said was on special at $9.95 instead of the usual $39.95 price. Through the payment process, it only said $9.95.
When I got the confirmation, the charge showed $39.95. I replied and asked them about this and they told me it was a $30 "mail-in-rebate". I replied and told them that if they do not change the charge on my credit card, I will report the charge as fraudulent and file a complaint with The Better Business Bureau. I tried to go through the process again, but it won't let me do it, because I already have it. I know I read everything very carefully though. They boast a 30 day, money back guarantee, so there's always that.

Uhm.. maybe a silly question. But why would you buy that to begin with?
There are plenty, of free (and likely better) adware/spyware/virus cleaners out there. EDIT: nvm, I found the other thread .lol..

..they did email back and said they would credit me the $30. I'm open to other programs, which are free, or not.
Please be specific though. I can still cancel this. Thanks

Well I doubt what I'm going to say is going to be something the people in the other thread havn't mentioned. But for free firewall/av I've used (and am using the first two) Comodo/Avira/AVg. I like AVG the least, Comodo and Avira have worked very well for me.
I also use ccleaner and Spybot in a regular basis. Revo uninstaller for secure/clean uninstalls and some registry things. IN the combo of those , I think its pretty safe. Esp since Comodo is AV and Firewall too (Firewall Imo is superb, AV is subpar but gets alot of stuff - and what it doesnt avira does.) Free stuff is awesome ![]()

Uhm HOw about this way
Comodo http://www.comodo.com/ Has a good firewall also has an AV. (i'd install it..I have) Avira http://www.free-av.com/ , is a great free one. CCleaner http://www.ccleaner.com/ is a great everything cleaning trash cleaning software. REvo uninstaller http://www.revouninstaller.com/ basically uninstalls things really well, can also make sure you don't have junk/ registry/ and startup checking/cleaning. and Spybot http://www.safer-networking.org/en/index.html Does what it says, it searches and kills spyware/adware. Better?
