AHA! I have, or months, been trying to get this game to work on my new system (which uses Windows XP Home). I have heard of a lot of issues with XP Home and this game, so I thought I'd let you know how I fixed it. Here's hoping my type of problem will never occur again! All that I did was (drumroll, please)...

go to my video card's (ATI Radeon 9700)advanced settings, and set my anti-aliasing to "application preference." Odd. I had set it for 4X, and this worked super well with some of the newer games, but wasn't liking any of the older, more 2D games as much.

Anyhow, I'm back to my characters, and loving this game. I hope this helps anybody else with XP Home! I haven't heard much regarding this type of problem, but just in case somebody in the future has this issue...

Question Mark

My system runs on XP Home, and the patch eliminated all my game problems. It didn't give me my +5 vorpal shotgun, however. I cannot remember what the number tagged to the patch was, though.
