Hahaha, No. I don't think it is, though I've never played BG1, but this is how it might happen.
 • A very experienced veteran with knowledge of all classes.
 • Thorough knowledge of all items and opponents.
 • Probably a guy that knows how to dodge blows like bullets in the Matrix.
 • A little something we call a miracle.
I've never known a guy to walk away from all major boss battles without reloading, everyone will have to at least once. Something will happen and will screw you out of a victory sooner or later, it's the way Bioware doesn't want you to win

The first wolf scores a critical and you're chunkified. What then?

But if you imply "no reloading unless you die", it is something every roleplayer (true roleplayer) does. It is not realistic to reload until Antichickenator works, or until you beat the battle without anyone dying. If somebody is killed for good, so what, life is tough.

Weeel...
Assuming you mean 'after starting a new game with a freshly created character', and 'no loading except to get some food/sleep every now and then', it'll be quite tough. But I assume a party with sufficient stealth could go a long way if they got enough rest.

I'll put it on my things to try list, right after the Drunken Master... ehr... kit, and fail horribly

Hmmm, this would be difficult indeed. Might as well do it whilst soloing on insane just to maximise the challenge . All it would take is a failed save vs a finger of death, or for a mage/lich to cast maze/imprsionment on your solo PC and its game over....I don't think it would be possible, unless you scraped through the bare minimum of quests you need to complete the game, and don't have any improved encounter mods installed.

You forgot not using the pause option. My current project is going through BG1 with just me and Imoen (I'd solo but no matter how firm my resolve, at the final moment I always fail to remove her from my 'party'. I succeeded once, only once, and then took her back in under 30 seconds), without using the pause button. And I have to say it's not as undoable as you'd thinkwhen you only have two to worry about, and start to get the hang of it.

I know of at least 3 people who soloed SoA + ToB with no reloads: Westely Weimer (on Insane!), Gebhard Blucher, and Two.

Here's the basic routine:
 • When picking a race, pick one of the smaller ones. +5 save vs. spells in a lifesaver.
 • When picking a class, pick one that can cast Arcane spells. They're so much better.
 • Memorize *each and every* Trap in the game.
Proceed to playing...
 • You're out of buffs? Rest.
 • You've just rested? Good. Cast Stoneskin, Spirit Armor, Melf's Minute Meteors, Pro-Cold, Pro-Fire, Pro-Acid, Pro-Lightning, Pro-Magical-Energy, Pro-Yada.
 • The best way to block a punch is not being there. Thus, summons. Alternatively, Invisibility methods.
 • Cheese your way through.
 • Order your quests.
 • Don't face Mind Flayers.
 • Don't face The Prince.
 • You're out of buffs? Rest.
Well, you get the picture. If you're prtected from just about every possible form of damage, you'll be fine. This makes the Thief/Mage a wonderful canidate -- Stoneskin, ~90% Magic Resistance, low saves and stealth are all wonderful for this kind of game.
Writing this really made me feel like trying this... One day, when i'll uninstall Improved Ilyich.

Barring Improved Ilynich and maybe Ascension, I totally believe that it is possible to solo on Insane through SoA-ToB without reloading( even with Tactics Mod ). Heh... the closest I came to it was with a Sorcerer. He 'only' died about 5 times, and 4 out of 5, it was because he accidentally killed himself( Skull Traps are tricky).

However... a Thief/Mage through BG1 and TotSC under the same conditions? Excuse me, I need to go to the happy room and laugh hysterically.

It is irony in BG1. Fighters are considered the best option in BG1. Someone tried to solo a Mage I believe... I have yet to read of his success. It really sucks when you start off with one spell slot( or two if you are a specialist), and only have 6 HP.

Mages' HitDices are 1d4 in BG1, not 1d6.

It will be near-nigh impossible to solo a character through BG1-> TotSC-> SoA-> ToB on Insane Difficulty without dying even once.
