How come i cant ressurect?

Edwin died fighting the shadow dragon. His Portrait is still there so hes not totally gone, but all resurects fail. Even from temples.

What can be done?

Playing with patch/baldurdash/tactics/soulfein/item upgrade

Hmmm, can't really help you with this.

Perhaps it is the result of some kind of level drain?

I've never heard of this happening, maybe someone else can help you.

I think you need to explain in more deatail like if u can ressurect its just that he doesnt come to life.

One of the problems could be that he was imprisoned? ive never faced dragon before but just saying if hes imprisoned u cant ressurect unless u get certain spell.

But I cant help completly unless u explain in more deatail.

Edwin did get level drained 4 levels from the shadow dragon right before he died so i was thinking the same thing.. hmm.. Luckily I have a named save game from not to far back if I cant fix it.

Funny you mention this, because it happened to me as well. Even ctrl+r didn't work properly, as Edwin would immediately die again. It happened in Firkraag's dungeon. I can only suggest that level drain was the problem, because I recall dealing with vampires at the time. Thaxyl'sillia (who da frick cares?) must have level drained your Eddie Win.

I believe I had to use a previous save as well. I just prevented Edwin from dying.

Tom, I can resurect him (or try to at least) as his greyed portrait is still there. Also, the preists are glad to res him and they take my money and nothing happens except for maybe a fan fare.

IIRC that is becuase he was Level Drained.Same with Bodhi.

Have you tried resurrecting him at a temple first, and before you leave the the temple screen, you restore him as well? I'm not sure though if sticking around at the temple screen buys you the time to restore him as well, though... But it might be worth a shot.
