I was just wondering if having Throne of Bhaal installed raises the XP cap in Shadows of Amn to 40 million or not. If so do you lose out on high level abilities you would have gained at that level in Throne of Bhaal? Answers on a postcard below please.

40 million? Afraid not. 8 million is the limit. That lets most classes hit level 40. Yes, the cap is raised in SoA as well, but you wont lose any HLAs because of it, you can gain them in SoA as well.

Installing TOB raises the experience cap to 8 million XP in both SOA and TOB. If you reach the levels that you should gain a high level ability in SOA you will get it, so you won't miss out on any high level abilities.

Thanks very much. Sorry I was getting confused with level 40 and 40 million experience. All I can say is pfft to numbers.
Saying that, I better get back to revising for a maths exam tomorrow.
