Just tried to instal BGII:SoA again, and it doesn't work. Basically what happens is this: Insert CD, auto-runs, close that (it still thinks BG2 is installed, so it tries to run it) Open windows explorer, run the instal prog directly off the CD(#1). Installs fine, until it asks for CD2. When it does that, i put it in (this is a real bought copy btw, so no pirate problems) and i get this:
Component transfer error Component: CD2 Recommended File Group: CD2 Recommended File: D:\CD2\Data\MovHD0.bif Error: Incorrect Function After that, i click OK, and the whole instal program closes. It also doesn't matter which install i try, as soon as it wants that CD, it crashes (or closes, whatever) That's the problem, any help would be hot, thanks. EDIT The error may read CD2 FULL on a full install, not sure EDIT2 error does not read CD2 FULL when doing a full install. [ 07-20-2003, 10:11 AM: Message edited by: White Lancer ]

You can try to go into the BioWare-folder in your harddisk, and delete the BG2-folder if it's still there. You can also try to go into regedit, and delete every BioWare-keys, if you don't have BG1 or other BioWare-games installed. But if you try to go into regedit, you must be really careful when you delete the files, or you might end up damaging the whole computer.
This said, I'm not much of a techie, so I have no guarantee for that this works. ![]() |
