during game play I came acroos the scabbard form foe bane but dont recall coming across the sword.....or did I lol.... Also what does the scabbard do is it a power up for the sword. Also what itmes are needed for the lich scull power up?and what can be4 done with the white dragon scales in throne of baal or can only cromwell do the scale armor stufdf....hummmmmmm

can I get some general discussion on the upgrade issues and things used?

The foebane bastard sword is on the top level of watchers keep, one of the statues drops it. When Cespenar combines the sword with it's scabbard it turns into a +5 bastard sword with a few nice abilities.

I think the lich skull went with the spectral brand, which is on the third floor of watchers keep, you gamble the cambion for it.

If you already have white dragon scales you must have met the cambion already. The scales are upgraded by Cespenar into white dragon plate mail I think.

IIRC you can "lose" Foebane if you enter Watcher's Keep with a low level party. Enemies will be easier and won't drop Foebane.
