bard song & summons

sorry to delve again into what seems to be the last great BG mystery [img]smile.gif[/img]

i'm soloing a bard and have been digging around the boards to see if i can learn anything about the song - specifically i'm playing a skald (i wanted to avoid falling back on melee as a blade might well have done)

i've "learned" that the skald's battlesong (and i think only the skald's bard song) affects summons but that you have to be at quite close range?

i'm in the early stages and enjoying summoning a skele warrior and following behind it whistling, strumming and generally dancing about as he chops things into small pieces (i'm chaotic neutral) but how do i know whether he's under the effect of the song?

any thoughts?

All songs affect summons. As for the radii of the songs... pretty far. You can take it for granted that so long as...

1) Both your Bard and the summon are on the same screen.

2) They have line of sight of each other.

... that your summon is under the effects of the song.
