Does the increased XP Cap cascade down to gamplay before you reach Throne of Bhaal? Or are you stuck within the old cap while playing through Shadows of Amn, and then all of a sudden when you get to Throne is it lifted?
Thanks in advance |

If you install TOB, your cap will be raised to 8 million, even when playing SOA.

Yup. If it wasn't, you'd get clobbered in Watcher's Keep (or so I've been told...haven't played it yet). Bio had stated in the past they a average 11th level party could maybe get through the first level if they are really good. Yikes!

Watcher's Keep was the first thing I did after getting into Tethyr, and honestly it was not that hard. The puzzles were sometimes tough, but by this time you are pretty much prepaired to handle a variety of situations. The hardest enemy I fought was a Dragon near the end, and it was one of those things where you didn't even need to battle him. But the items you get are AWESOME!!!

Ya you can go over 2950000 BGII cap when ToB is installed. But, if you removed the cap while playing BGII and your character is over the cap before you installed ToB, your character's XP get nerfed to 2950000. Which Sucks. I lost +600000 XP from my fighter/mage. Man I wished this game had Bladesingers

SPOILER!
. . . . . . . . . . . . . I definitely thought the hardest battle in Watcher's Keep was the group you run into at the last seal...that was pretty hard. Compared to either of the "big bosses", I think that took me by far the most reloads. |
