Has anyone ever had BGII:SoA and it run too slow, even though your computer hits the "Recommended" guidelines for specs? I have, and here is a solution!
Turn all background and ambient music off! OK, it is less interesting, but it runs fast, and you still have the game to entertain you! ------------------  Do you understand? Turn off your 3D, drag the default options down to Minimum. There's a bug in ToB that doesn't allow you to save your config changes to a new game session. Each time you play you have to continue adjusting some of the options, which will revert to their defaults when you start a game session.
I've got a P4 1.5Ghz with 256Mb RAM so I don't have a problem with it.
