I've got a ton of it, and I have Keldorn equipped with all this Charisma boosting gear. (I think he's got a 23 CHR). I also have a 20 reputation.

When have I hit a point in the game that I don't need the added charisma? I'd like to equip some better cloaks/helmets on the guy.

you only really need to equip them when you're shopping, then have him be the person talking to the salesperson.

otherwise in battle give him the other stuff.

With a rep of 20, how much difference does it make for Keldorn to have such a high CHR? My guess is that with so much cash it probably makes very little difference. Any chance you could "test" buy a few items to see how much of a discount you're really getting with Keldorn vs someone else with lower CHR?

Money is one of the big paradoxes - you only get lots of it when you don't need it.

At the start of the game, there will be lots of things you'll want to buy, but you won't have the cash. By the time you have amassed enough money, you will also have picked up a load of artefacts that are better than anything you can buy. There are a few fairly expensive things (e.g. robe of vecna) that you'll want to buy as soon as possible, but apart from these rare items, money is virtually useless.

Money buys good Arrows / spells.

Besides, you can NEVER have enough money.

You can have enough money and nothing to do with it anymore. Say like 1000000 gp, it is very possible and there can always be more, that is if you have and played through ToB.

Once you have the Robe of Vecna, Sling of Everard, Vhailor's Helm, the Rod of Resurrection, the Robe of the Good Archmagi (if you want it), and the Mercykiller Ring (if you want it), you have enough money. Everything else that you need to buy can be gained for a pittance--even great items like Azuredge, Shield of Reflection, or Bracers of Defense AC 3.

And if you have ToB, you may want to have a good deal of money left over to pay for some certain items...

I usually steal from shopkeepers whenever I can.

It's quite funny how the spell merchant in the Adventurer's Mart has nothing to sell.

I actually steal need money, for Item Upgrade (most items cost around 20,000 gold).
