Is it possible to achive Godhood in IWD and HoW? Or do you have to get TotL? If you do, I'll be saving up my GP.
Yrs Almost Godly, Dragonshadow the Bronze PS- my cleric, theif and druid are the Ones. The mage ranger and bard will have to wait for another 6 or less levels.

Well depends on what you mean by godhood. Level 30 and up is up is godhood I believe. You need an experiance cap remover to reach level 30 though I'm sure. I only have IWD and IWD2 so I am not sure about HoW or ToTLM. Hope this helps.

The cap for IWD is 1.8 million xp - way below 30th level. For HOW (and TOLM) the cap is 30th level per class .. anything ABOVE that is defined as Godhood and is NOT reachable without a cap remover.

In HoW I think you can get there with all of the characters, although you might need to play the game through quite a few times (not sure if you can get there by playing on HoF mode the first time right away)

The normal ending xp for a party of 6 in IWD on normal difficulty is around 1.2 million xp if you do ALL the quests. On HOF mode, combat xp is substantially increased (base of 2000 xp + 3 or 4 times the normal xp), quest xp is also increased. Using a factor of 4 to increase xp, that would extrapolate to an ending xp per character of 4.5 to 4.8 million xp IF you start with NEW characters in HOF mode. That's just for IWD. A single class rogue or bard would JUST reach 30th level (needs 4.4 million). All other classes would fall by varying degrees, with the cleric being the closest (29th level).
If you start with a group of six that had previously finished IWD, then your party of 6 would be around 5.7 to 6 million xp each. Single class fighters, druids, clerics, rogues, bards and druids would all cap at 30th level - wizards and paladins/rangers would fall short (25/26th lvl and 27/28th level respectively). That's just IWD ... if you toss in HOW which is the only way you can play on HOF anyway, then ALL single class characters in a party of six WILL cap. In fact, there is a good chance that 2 class multi-class characters can cap in HOW as well. AND if you are feeling REALLY adventurous, a party of two consisting of a fighter/druid and a fighter/mage/thief can completely cap at 30/30 and 30/30/30 respectively if you play through IWD/HOW/TOLM starting at level 1 on HOF. Micah is pretty much correct of course.
Except I will just add one thing so has not to disappoint anyone: ALL single class characters in a party of six WILL cap or come close (29). A little depends on how the game is played through to the end. |

HoF mode?!?! That'll kill them! The ranger's only got 190 something hit points!!!! And my dudes are at level 30 right now. Can you get to level 31 somehow, because I don't think you can. If you can't, I shall be most disappointed.

With a 6 character party only one of my charaters reached level 30; a single class cleric. I played on normal with HoW installed. Killed about every enemy in the game and did all quests.

The multiclass characters will not reach their cap but all single classes should come close. There are several areas in the game that respawn creatures, so you can get the experience required if you are persistent.
With me my Theif, Bard, and Druid reached the cap while my Fighter was 29 (almost 30), and my Ranger was 28 (Could be because he died a couple times). [ 03-04-2003, 12:25 PM: Message edited by: pritchke ] |
