What's with the Amazoni Mantrap, my entire party dies before I even get close to one, how am I supposed to fight them!!

Do not fight them up close....fight from a distance using spells, sun spells work well including incinerate and firestorm. There are serveral ways to tackle them the way i killed them was to go to the burnt out house where scanthril is.(you might have to go to a previous save, before your encounter with them). Move down the path a bit, towards the castle keeping to the left hand side. Every now and then move accross to the right you will eventually see a small gap in the trees slowly move towards that untill you see the mantraps, then move backwards. thye can not get past the gap in the trees. Once they are there (you should have moved far enough back to be out of there range now) you can use your sun magic on them untill they are all gone. There may be 3 or 4, so just let your mana recharge inbetween each one.
