Game Halting Clipping Problem

For some reason or other, I cannot get past the underwater tunnel beneath the two grate rooms near the back entrance of the temple. I almost get out to the other side, and I stop. I keep running in place as I try to get in. Jumping doesn't work either. I gather there is something necessary in there. Will this prevent me from getting the Masque? If so, is it possible to edit in the Masque to a saved game?

Paxis, it is very diffucult to get through the underwater tunnels. In the Serpent tunnel, there is a necessary item you need at the end. Try using your smallest character to lead through the tunnel, or one with athletic ability or most agile and see if you can get through. It took me at least a dozen times to be successful. If you still can't get through, Wyv, may be able to help with your request to edit the saved masque to you game - this magic trick is unknown to me. Good luck!

This seems to be an area where many a player has gotten ticked off from not being able to make it through the passage.
Some suggest using your smallest character to lead the others through.
Wriggling my mouse from side to side got me in.
The passage leads you to a table upon which sits the serpent idol, an item necessary to obtain knowledge from a book in the library but not necessary to get the Masque provided you know the information from the book.
There will be an encounter with the Naga Spirit who will ask you questions...the answers come from the book and can also be found in another thread on this page if you want to forget trying to get the idol and take notes here.

See the thread titled "Need Help At The Serpent Temple Urgently" submitted by The Doer (sad blue face icon)...the answers are in the thread but remember to add the word "the" to the beggining of your answers and do not use caps as I have heard the Naga Spirit may be case sensitive about her answers which, by the way, must be spelled correctly as well. Save your game prior to your encounter with her as I could have this information confused and caps may be necessary with the word "Servant" on your answers.

This seems to be a major trouble spot for a lot of players which is unfortunate. As recommended, try having your smallest character lead and also try spinning around, twist and shout and any other gyrations you might think of along the way.
What lies at the end is the snake idol - now if I recall correctly, what the snake idol gets you is access to the Book of Servants in the Library but I don't believe it is necessary to get to the hidden room - I think you only need the monkey idols for that - could be wrong. If you can't get the snake idol - try just using the monkey idols in the library. If you get up to the secret room - all you need do then is a search on this board for the answers that the Naga spirit will ask you (which are in the Book of Servants)

Ther snake idol is only needed for the book of the servant, the answers are in many posts.

There is one monster in there which can block your way, otherwise ensure you have enough light & map area on, is not so difficult - getting out has caused me the most trouble. The best sequence I found (1) flick switch in left room (2) jump in at right room (3) come back out at left room.
