I'm thinking, Activision should make a sequel. They haven't been very profitable with their Mechwarrior games (MechCommander, yes, but their are only 2 of those). I'm not too sure, but I'm pretty sure Activision has a part in Metal Gear. Anyways, what I'm trying to say is, Activision should continue the story of Gael Serran, I mean why not? Just because the baddie is dead doesn't mean anything. I mean look at Diablo, that guy died TWICE. Now they have another coming out, and you have to kill his brother. Why not say, their is a city that has been corrupted, and you have to free the curse and blah blah blah. You know? Add a little spice to the game, give it better graphics, and BOOM! you have another hit!! What do you guys think?

Yes, I agree in principle - good games deserve a sequel (hopefully it matches up to the original).

But it is not Activision, it is Heuristic Park which would need to do the work.

Less software bugs, better packaging and support - that is one of my wishes.

More consistency in content is the other.

Better graphics? I think the graphics are good (some better control of shading perhaps) - the better graphics of Diablo II do not make it a better game than Diablo the original, in concept Diablo is far superior than it's sequel (the reasons for my statement would need a substantial post, so I will not bore people here with it). And similar comments apply to Baldur's Gate II.

The exception to the rule (for me at least) is the Might & Magic series, while 6 is better than 8 which in turn is better than 7 the sequels (7, are very good games in themselves.

Like you, hoping to see a WW2 soon.

Well, I didn't neccesarily mean LIKE Diablo 2 or BG2, just make a sequel like they have. And the graphic do need some improving. The game ITSELF is good, but the graphic can be better (smoother graphics lets you see things better, like when you pause the game, and it switches from day to night, you ever watch the line of sun move slowly down the pathway?) Graphics like these need improving. And the NPC's. It is kind of old after a while, after they wave their hands for the thousandth time. Maybe let them walk back in forth, or at least give different NPC's different movements of their hands. A few niches, and this game would be a TOP SELLER. Like Diablo was back in the old days. You get what I'm saying?

Yes, I do. The elements of a great game are there. They just need tightening and tweaking a bit. I mean, if I've played a game through thrice in 5 months and haven't tired of it yet, it has to be pretty good in my book. Usually the first game of any series is "buggy." The Arkania series by Sir-Tech was great, and the first one was terribly buggy. So was many of the Elder Scrolls games, but that didn't stop my enjoyment of them. So I do hope HPI will come back with another one in this genre. Only time will tell.

I was chatting with one of the individuals who worked on WW and visits this board (he no longer works there). I mentioned then that the team used to create this was pretty small for the complexity. Moreover they always had a moving target for the date and features which makes it hard no matter how many people or how much time you have.

Rest assured though, if Activision sees the money there they will pay HPI a pretty penny to produce a sequel. also, if another gaming company sees something there then they too may contact HPI and bring out the sequel under a different distribution house.

And I still wish Interplay had hired me to bring out another Bard's Tale series.
