I'm surprised no-ones already posted a topic about this. If they have, I must have missed it. Anyway, how many of you have seen this film? What did you all think? I must admit, I liked it a lot. I'd give it about an 8.5 to a 9 out of 10. This one I'll buy on DVD. Twas a tad predictable in places, but otherwise it was excellent. [img]smile.gif[/img] . Look forward to hearing your views.

I enjoyed it but found the plot a little thin. The cinematography and set design were awesome though. I predict it will win Oscars for both [img]smile.gif[/img]

Hehe, you can't have everything

. I suppose the plot *was* a little thin, but it was semi-believeable and not so out of proportition it was absurd, so I guess it makes up for it.

If we ignore this minor plot device (without which there would be no movie) and focus on the interaction of the two main characters, then the movie is excellent. Honestly that part has bothered me since I started hearing about it. It really set off my "Yeah, right," alarm. Hollywood wants to make a movie about a Samurai, let 'em go find a Japanese man for the lead role, not Tom Cruise. Maybe it's just me, but it seems kinda racist, and if I'm wrong, I apologize in advance.

It was great the last battle scene to me puts up a small fight against the Pelenor Feilds...which is saying alot cause no other movie comes close.

Its a fictional film [img]tongue.gif[/img] . I don't recall anywhere saying its based on historical events

. Just as long as they don't try to portray it as "real", then I don't mind.

I just got back from seeing it and found it very enjoyable. I liked seeing the ninjas attacking the samurai village.
