I've only seen about six episodes, all from the latest series I'm assuming, but I'm hooked. Those two guys are the greatest people ever.
So far I've seen salsa corrosion; chicken cannons; decapitation by industrial fan; rocket chairs; escaping from Alcatraz and the Biggest Explosion Ever in a cement truck. Anyone watch it? [ 09-04-2005, 10:15 AM: Message edited by: Brayf ] |

Lol, that cement truck was fraggin' awesome.
It's a very entertaining show though i don't get to watch it as much as i'd like to. Apart from the cement truck, i've seen the Lucille Ball transistor dental fillings, the penny from a skyscraper, spontanious CD combustion and a couple more that i'm forgettin' right now. These guys have got one of the best jobs going.

Haha, the penny from a skyscraper sounds awesome. I heard about an "Is yawning contagious?" episode, that also tickled my fancy.

I've seen pretty much every Mythbusters episode on Discovery, great show.
By the way, what's really weird is that they've changed the original bad-puns-using-yet-sensationalist American narrator to a dry-witted British one for the European version of Discovery Channel. Never really understood the necessity for that, but I suppose someone thought the original one was really, really bad. ![]() [ 09-04-2005, 05:02 PM: Message edited by: Grojlach ] |

Seen most of the episodes and love it, nothing quite like seeing grown men shooting each other with a rifle modified to shoot pennies.

I watch it whenever I see that it is currently on. Sometimes their projects are funny: peeing on the third rail, death by playing card, "Robin Hood-ing" an arrow, etc. Sometimes their findings are simply gross--the "dead pig in a car" episode--and sometimes really useful--raising a sunken boat with ping-pong balls.
A great show that everyone should watch! Especially useful for middle-school and high-school science students.
