Excellent film. Its about a young Quebecois man, and the story of his life, from birth to age 40 in the tumultous period of time known as the "Quiet Revolution", and the reactions he faces as a boy confused about his sexuality. Normally I'm the type of guy to go "bah, gay cowboy movie, looks like crap", but I must say, this was quite good, and is the best movie I've seen this year. The soundtrack is excelllent, and the acting is simply the best I've seen this year.

Yeah, well, this one doesn't scream out "gay cowboy", its much more "normal". Its simply a kid growing up, who's confused. BTW Luvian, you must have heard of this, its the biggest grossing Quebecois movie ever, its even in French (with subtitles).

I heard from it but I'm into hollywood movies so I never watch those from Quebec, they're boring and crude. I'm not the only one who think so, I know lots of people that don't like them either.

So I saw parts of it the other day while I was making food and it was playing in the living room. I saw the second half, pretty much.

I thought it was good for a local movie, I enjoyed it.
