Where can I get a good axe?

Hi, I'm in Trynton and my 9th level dwarf fighter is using a regular hand axe. I already have several good swords-Bloodlust, Demonsbane, and an enchanted longsword-but I can't stomach given my dwarf a sword. It has to be an axe. Where can I find a good one?

The only one I've run across that seemed any good was in a cave near Anrika and the Monestary (coming from the Monestary, turn the way away from town at the T intersection).. there was a Hogar running around near that, if that helps.. And I believe Antone can custom make you one, but I don't think I've run across all the things he needs to make it yet..

Well sad to say it but the game does lack in the equality of weapons, I too would love an AXE welding anything. My personal fave, BIG BLUNT weapons that crush but the game lacks in them as well.

There are some good Axe's out there, just don't surprized to fine 3 good swords to every 1 good anything other melee weapon.

I have a few (what look like) good axes, the beastmaster antone makes seems ok, In the retro dungeons I found some "special" weapons I have a big 2 handed axe called "the ripper" and another (forget it's name) from the retro dungeon in the northern wilderness. I also got a sword of fire out of the norther wilderness dungeon. (havnt tried any of the weapons tho)

Yeah, a good axe that you can get early is the one that is toward the Northern Wilderness. Technically it is still on the Arnika Road map just before getting to the Northern wilderness. As the previous poster mentioned, you go North at the T outside the Monestary (right turn at the T if you are coming from the Monestary), follow it north to the Hogar. Deal with him or try to sneak around him (he is tough). Then walk up on the edges on the right side of the path, there is an area there with some seekers in front of a cave, the axe is inside that cave with some other assorted goodies.

The Bipennis is a great Axe. Not sure where I found this one.... Might of bought it somewhere. Its the best I found. 2hd Peace.

Antone Rapax in Arnika sells the Bipennis axe, yeah, it is good too. He is the smithy in the building across the street from the temple.

Antone Rapax in Arnika also will make you the Beastslayer
Axe which is very cool, you have to bring him a cleaver
which you should find in the monastery (merchant there will
sell it too), a piercer modai horn and one other thing, can't
remember off the top of my head but you'd have found it somewhere
between the monastery/arnika road and arnika itself.

Ask him to talk about the word "custom" and then the axe,
he'll tell you what he needs to build it though. It's
cool in that it does alot of damage and is 1-handed...
