Hi, I've seen loads of posts about the game crashing back to the windows desktop when loading certain levels, but I haven't seen anyone post about this happening on the Mt Gigas Caves level.

I've tried:
1. Reinstalling the game.
2. Copying the levels file off the cd again.
3. Using a completely different computer
4. Every patch I can find!
5. Copying each file from the patch manually.

Nothing has made any difference at all. Please someone help me!

Are you always using the same savegame or are you trying alternates? If you are still having these problems after all the effort you have gone to, I would suggest sending a zipped copy of your savegame to Sir-Tech and see if they can suggest something. I suspect, however, there is something wrong with your savegame if installing the game on a different computer (and presumably copying your old savegame over?) didn't solve the problem.

Yeah, it's the same save game. I've wandered off and done lots of other stuff, then saved it in a different slot but still no luck.

I can get to every other level I've tried, so the savegame must be fine don't you think?

If I email the savegame to Sirtech support, how long will I have to wait for them to fix it? Would it just be quicker to restart? I don't wanna not be playing!!

I don't know how long it will take - I guess it depends on whether the problem is with the savegame or if you've identified a bug with the game itself. The reason I suspect the savegame is because I haven't seen anyone else having a problem with Mt. Gigas and you are having the same problem on two different computers.

At any rate, you should be able to continue playing while they attempt to figure out what the problem is as long as you avoid Gigas. If it IS the savegame then you might lose quite a bit of XP and such to revert to that one but at least you will be able to play in the meantime.
