Arrrr!!!
I met up with a very annoying little dwarf on Argent Dawn (WoW) last night. His name was Bogamiel, and... J/k Ziroc lol I won't say his name, but he basically annoys me into helping him out. I seem to have a chronic debilitating niceness, evidenced by the fact that I've helped him out twice. The first time he got me to run from Westfall to Dun Morogh (or whatever the little province east of Ironforge is) to help him out with some sort of quest. The entire way up he kept asking where I was. Running from 8 miles out maybe? I get there, and find he's got a party of 3, doing a quest about 6 levels below me. They could have handled it easily. When I get there the dwarf offers me several items, and I think "Oh, maybe he's realizing that he wasted my time completely" (aside from getting the flight path), but he's offering them for sale. I inquire about a total of 23 linen, and he wants 25 silver. 25 Silver!!! He then claims that he easily gets that at the Auction House. Denied, he logs off. What exactly did I run over there for? Last night after I log in he immediately begs for help. I'm so glad I made the friends list. This time it's the undead in Duskwood, and he's dying every few minutes. I'm essentially out of quests at this point and have never been there so I take the short walk. He's managed to enlist 2 others, easily over 10 levels higher than us. He's berating one (who had gone linkdead lol) for not helping. I just kind of sit back and watch at this point - I want to see just how ridiculously anti-social this fellow can be. We're killing monsters for the first time (minus both of the others, who apparently lack the same sick curiosity I have). I notice that I die much more often than I would alone. He wanders off, bringing at least two monsters 2 levels higher than either of us and crying "Help!!!", and this happens more than a couple of times. Here's the clincher: We're battling a spider and another adds. I'm a rogue and he's a warrior, so I keep hacking away at the original so we can focus on the other. My hunter and my pet do this all the time, and I think it gives the best chance of surviving. So what went wrong? Whereas my pet would come to my aid, this fellow looted the original spider. A green item pops up. Dwarf: "I need for my dwarf okay plz?" Spider: Chomp Chomp Me: Hack hack (click pass, it's only a cloak, though I'm not sure what it did) Dwarf: okay thx He stays down there, looting and I see his cloak change on his character. He actually tried it on lol. The spider, 1/4 of its health left, kills me. I point out that he might have helped, and he said he was stuck on the green item. Indeed. And this guy is effective. He knows what items he wants for 10th level characters when they're level 50. His dwarf (around 20) has mithril equipment lined up for when he's level 41 or so. I'm not the only enabler lol. He clearly doesn't just adventure for it - he dies every few seconds haha. I figure he loses money adventuring paying for repairs. Feel free to share obnoxious-people MMORPG stories. |

Well didnt know that Luvian, but it was underhanded. He was also a jackass the entire instance. People who act this was will make lvl 60, but will have a hard time finding groups. And can only imagine how hard the hero lvls are going to be when they are instituted. I DO keep a list of people I've encountered who I have no desire to deal with again, and I'm not the only one who does that.
I seem to be coming off as kind of a hardass, but actually I'm not, only to jerks. In my guild we have a kid we have to keep an eye on, but the rest are a VERY good bunch. We all help each other out quite a bit!
