Charisma was NOT hard to bring UP!!!!!!!!
Try this:
Ring of human influence
Sensate Amulet/Blade of Roses
Plate of balduran
Nymph cloak

Takes ur CHA to 21 - 23, which is EASY unless ur poor. My Priestess of Lathander has now 23 CHA, which means the price for items have gone DOWN, w/ rep of 20.

The prices would have gone down due to your reputation... despite common belief, Charisma does NOT affect item prices in SOA.
It simply affects if you can perform some actions, especially in the stronghold quests.

With a charisma of 5 I still managed to do the stronghold quest.

I have tested this idea before and cha does seem to affect price (my cha was 9 so the price of the robe of vecna was 28000 but with the ring of cha it cost 23000. there was NO reputation change)

You missunderstood me, Mr. Jansen. You can do the stronghold quests, yes. But once you get some strongholds there are meintanance quests, and to have some options in them work, you need at least a certain amount in some areas...

After you get the fighter stronghold, one quest is something to do with money lenders... there are 2 options, pay the full amount, or pay the partial amount... to pay the partial amount, you need atleast 17 charisma.

Then maybe, it is one of those things which changes with different versions of the game, because I have been assured by the overseer of the BIS forums (who is meant to be many BIS staff) that it does NOT, and in my experiments, I have found no change in price between charisma of 3, and charisma of 18... same character, same rep, same time of day... I simply equipped the ring of human influence to my character, and there was no change... it does work because there was a price diffrence between my cha 5 barbarian and my cha 21 mage.
