No spoilers please:
I just bought this game after playing bg2 and iwd and I have some questions about this game.

1. I haved picked up Jaheria and went straight to the town she wanted me to go to without talking to very many other people. I am still a level 1 character and already on chapter 2 so should I go find someside quests and level up a little before continuing? I have a feeling I should.
2.Is it normal for weapons to keep breaking?
3.(related to 1) should I be talking to everyone I come across and doing their quests? I am worried there is a time limit before my party gets upset and leaves if I do not do what they want right away.
4.Is there a way not to have to keep switching disks? I tried to do a custom install with all the boxes checked and even with 3.5ggs empty it said I didn't have enough room.
5>How many disks are there? I bought the game as well as the expansion and I have a total of 6 disks but I notice there is room in the packaging for six disks in the bg1 packaging added to the one needed for the expansion for a total of seven?
I have more but I will see if I cannot figure them out myself.
Btw I really enjoy this game, even more than bg2 so far.(much more indepth it seems)

1- I think it's better to travel the woods for a while get some experiance till you get about level 2 or 3 also try to find Kivan on the map directly east to Beregost

2- yep sometimes they break very soon sometimes they don't
It all has to do with the bad iron you keep hearing about

3- as far as i know only edwin or minsc get mad if you don't go to the gnoll strong hold fast enough

4- dunno never tried

5- 6 disks are all you need

Well, Rikard is right in ALMOST everything

- Kivan is in the mast WEST of Beregost, in High Edge.
- Jaheira and Khalid do get mad if you dont go to Nashkel, they might leave your party, but they´ll advice a pair of times before leaving, so dont worry, you have plenty of time.

And yes, you should talk to everybody in this game, there are SO MANY quests in it... ENJOY IT !!

Thanks, I am enjoying the game a great deal. The path finding can be frustrating at times but patience is key. I just cleared out the gnoll fortress and now edwind and minsc are fighting. Ive reloaded a couple times to see if they can be friends but it dont look like it so I guess I have a decision to make.

Edwin and Minsc can never be friends, because Edwin is trying to kill Dynaher (or whatever her name is. Of the mages, I like her the best. Edwin is just to evil for me and the elf whines to much.
