how do you use hide in shadows??? how to make the game faster?

well, you hug the walls (or other halfway hidden places where it's darker) and hold your "sneak" key (L/CTRL) and move. if you are successfully hidden, then you get an icon in the lower left of your screen.

while your icon is displayed, you're safe. you can pick locks, backstab (which is a shortsword/dagger attack in sneak mode), or pp (which is snooping in someone's inventory and taking something or not, in sneak mode).

i find that before i can successfully pp or backstab, i need a decent Sneak Skill Rating. at 61 i'm doing pretty well with it.

obtw, turn shadows on, hon. at least to 50%. if not, you may keep popping out of cover even tho no one (that you can see) is around. most likely, the culprit is another thief, hiding in the shadows. they only show as a light shadow on the floor, flitting around fast.

anyways, the best way to raise your skill is if you are in sneak mode and you see your icon flicking on and off rapidly. stay in that spot as long as you can deal with it. it IS boring to sit in the same spot with your finger mashing your CTRL key.

hmm, what do you think of Morrowind Vs. NWN? i think Neverwinter Nights will be better. Morrowind should have more killing. i meet monsters so rarely..

well...if you mean run faster, then boost your speed to about 300+ and get athletics to 100.... youll zoom around the map at the speed of light...er ok not that fast but you will get loading exterior every 5 seconds.

but if you mean the technical speeding up of the game, well, you could try running in lower resolution and geting a beter graphics card

well, luv, i don't know if i want to say nwn will be better, because i think mw and nwn are different kinds of games. but i am looking forward to nwn very much. i hope to be able to play lots of good mods and find some fun peeps to play with. mw will have a hallowed spot on my computers and lapper for a long time, tho.

you forgot one thing. get rid of all encumbrance (or at least get down to 25-50%) to advance faster.

i've gone from skill lvl 40 to 71 in about 5 playing hours, while doing other things because i don't carry anything at all. cept gold, my daggers/shortsword, and my smile.
