Ok, I doubt anyone has the time or inclination to try this. As I understand it the max level for any class is 50 (must take a lot of fighting for even one class). Is it then possible at level 50 to switch to each remaining class in turn and level each class to 50? During this each skill would be developed to the maximum level (are there max levels for skills such as magic which go above 100?). Certainly the order in which this was done would be important, the idea being maximum talents in every possible skill for the end character. This has no practical impact for actually beating the game, but a pure test of how far character development can be taken. That said, perhaps max skill leveling can be achieved well below level 50 with well planned classing. I'm interested in developing these "imortals". Where to start and how to develop are the questions. Any thoughts or ideas on this?

hmm...just tell me how are you gonna reach level 50 in this game? The highest I've seen is level 43.

Your character has two types of levels: character level and class level. Your character level is all of your class levels added together. The character level is capped at 50. So, if you were a level 25 Lord level 25 Samurai, you could not level anymore.

Yah, there're only a few class-switchers that really keep up with those who stay the same. Mostly, if you switch later than L12 or so, many of your stats that are level-based (see 'Test Results' threads) will not improve for another 12 or so levels. Some important skills can be maxed in one level, most notably Stealth, so there are reasons to change class, but the example Avenstar gave is one of those i would call really difficult, mostly due to the divergence of so many skills. Smaller parties support changing classes better, there's more XP per char. My favorite switcher so far has been Bard-to-Fighter at L11. She can put up most of the Buffer spells, and berzerk with LS. Because of the low XP/Level ratio of both classes, her advancement has been very fast anyway. (in a party of 3)

I'm currently playing a bishop-fighter duo. For the bishop, i planned switching to samurai at level 24. Intention was to be able to cast all spells in the game at level 7 in green, and use infinity helm for really fast mana recovery. If skills like fire or mental are below 100, they can raise later when the samurai is level 5. If the skill for a magic scool (like psionic) is below 100, i thought i'd play some more without levelling until all are maxed. Well, the testing result thread told me that staying bishop will be better, since the caster level plays a major role. But it would have taken a looooooooong time to wait for maxxed skills. I'm at ascension peak since some time, level ~35, and wizardry, devinity and psionic are still at 99. I think i casted psionic skills nearly exclusively for several levels, since it raised that slow (due to senses not being ar 100, like int, pie and dex). At least might to magic is a very very effective spell for ist net amount of mana cost. And for the fighter, i planned him to be master of all weapons. I used different weapons in the early game, and since level ~20 use beastslayer axe (nearly) exclusively to max axe, then switch to the next weapon. Well, at level ~38, i already reached skill 98. At least i maxxed out modern weapons, thanks to the frontier phaser, which i used when my stacks of ammunition were used up. (axe nearly exclusively: i switched to vampire chain in a few fights, to keep me at full health, while the bishop was knocked out or too busy) |

But you can get 100 in all 4 Schools and at least Earth and Mental Realms in a couple of game-days as soon as you have 5 Bishop levels.
It may be really boring, but if your'e trying to max out as many skills as possible, you can search through the threads to find ways to max many (non-combat) Skills by letting your characters have some intensified practise. You can help max combat skills, too, by various means, including using cheap weapons against, and healing, enemies that aren't hurting you much, so you can prolong the slashing practise. Yes, even with low scores in the "controlling" attributes. |
