What exactly is needed to summon them ? My intelligence is at 125, and Conjuration is at 100, so i should be able to summon one. Or at least that's what i thought, because when i try to do it, i get a message that i don't have enough magic. How can that be with my stats ?

you dont have enough mana points. i had to use an item to boost my magick points by 100 then attempt to cast the spell, which had a 1% success rate (ie, wasnt ever going to happen). the best thing to do is to go and make an exquisite ring which summons them. that way the spell always works. use a golden saint soul and you'll be able to summon them about five times before the charge runs out.

But how is that possible ? I'm already at level 76 again, and i recall from my previous game that i could summon them at an earlier level. How come my manapool isn't high enough this time ?

The spell costs 165 mana points, so with that race/birthsign-combo you'll need an intelligence of at least that to be able to cast it. In your previous game you probably had some more int-boosters than you do this time.

why do want them anyway? I find golden saints one of the least cost effective summons!

In fact does anyone else find summoning very costly?? I mean the number of spells I can cast for summoning a golden saint is stupid, and when you are level 65... very weird!

The reason i want to summon them whenever i want, is because i've reached the point that i could use some extra strength, i get tired of having a full inventory after raiding one single shrine or whatever. Right now my strength is 120, and i want to enchant everything i have on unenchanted armour and weapons with fortify strength constant effect enchantments. For some reason however i very rarely run into Golden Saints at the moment, so i'd like to be able to summon them, trap their souls, and go to work with it. In my previous game, my strength was over 200, i could go a long way raiding all kinds of places without having to worry about overencumbering. I keep finding heavy items like Daedric battle axes and stuff like that, and it would be a shame to leave them behind because i can't carry them anymore.

Right now i'm using the spell "Orc Strength" whenever i get overencumbered, but that only works for a short period, and i can't carry too much extra. It's just a temporary solution, right now i need to power up, so i want Golden saints.

well, looks like an enchanted ring for summoning them is the best idea:

1) you dont have to rest in between summons, its not your magick
2) if you used a golden saint to make the ring, you can summon up to eight golden saints before the ring runs out.
3) this is more useful when you have 30 or more grand soul gems to fill than having to summon, fight, rest, summon, fight, rest... so on and so forth. much more time saving.
