Ok here's my grip. I started playing Wiz 8 on my old AMD computer, ran ok but too choppy and slow. Soooo I went out and bought a P3 huge memory with a GeForce4 MX 420 64MB card in it. Looks great, starts to run then usually in the start of a battle it clicks back to desktop. It's driving me batty. I'm running on Windows 98 second edition. Help I'm losing patience.

Dunno: runs fine on my Athalon system with 98se and a far less advanced graphic card than yours. Would be tempted to re-install...

same as oru, AMD 800 with original G-Force card, and mine runs fine. I would check for the latest graphics drivers for your card and reinstall the game after uploading latest drivers.

Weird--my puny 8mb video card had no problems, except for the automap taking a long time to load.

Could be a driver issue...make sure Wiz8 is fully patched and that you've downloaded all the latest drivers for your card and comp.

Thanks for all of the replies. It gets rather frustrating when in the middle of battle I flash to desktop. I'll try all the suggestions.
