I, uh, have this problem. I lost my Diablo II install CD, so I bought a new copy(At a really low price too, I might add!). Little did I know that it was the KOREAN version! I managed to install the game and then tried to install the Lord of Destruction expansion pack, which is in English. But it says:"The language of the previously installed Diablo II must match the language of Diablo II: Lord of Destruction."

So, my question remains, Is it possible to convert the Korean version of the original game into the English version? Or at least, make the Expansion and then 1.10 patch installable and still be able to play the game?

Thanks.

It was a little bit of both. I'm just really not qualified to answer your question. But I figured I would anyway

Ok, that sounds like a good idea.

But supposing that I can't get another copy.. Would converting the language as such be possible?

Yeah, I do know that 'localisation' (ie: having a 'European' version, a 'US' version, a 'Korean' version etc) of software involves changing key aspects of a games programme, and cannot be rectified by a simple patch. You'll probably need to get your hands on a totally new version. Sucks don't it?

No one you can borrow an english version of eihter? You only need the LoD CD to play the game after it's installed.

Well because you should look at it VERY CAREFULLY before purchasing it. It's mostly your fault, but it was an honest mistake, and they will probably will replace it. I think it was their fault that they didn't ask you first or confirm it to you first before they do the transaction.
