Well I did, for Oblivion mainly. What scores do you get at default settings? I get over 5k with vsync on and over 9k with vsync off (!!). Just wondering so I can compare to see how on (or off) track I am. If you do try it, try testing with vsync on and off to see how big a change you get in overall marks.

If anyone would like to download this popular benchmarker look here: http://futuremark.com/download/

Most people use the 2003 version (the second one down) as a nuetral point.

The standard demo version I get 21435, I will find my registration code and try and play with the setting soon.

That's a beastly score Hive - I really, really want an X1900XTX

My "old" X850XT gets about 14-15k after some heavy overclocking and tweaking in 03.

The difference in score you see with vsync on or off will be dependant on what your refresh rate is...If you are using an LCD screen the "refresh rate" (technically it isn't refreshing) will be 60Hz, which means that the frames per second will cap out at 60. With vsync off the FPS can soar as high as it can, which is why for benchmarking at least, you should always disable vsync.

To complicate matters worse, the FPS cap with vsync on goes down in multiples (something to do with the type of buffering used) - something like 60 fps if the framerate is 60 or above, but if your machine can render say 50fps, vsync will force the fps down to 30 - anything lower than that becomes 15 etc etc. This gives the effect of your framerate jumping about all over the place if your system cannot consistently render everything at or above the refresh rate (which is why you should only really use vsync with very powerful hardware).

You know you're showing off, HT

I can't benchtest mine just yet as it's not hooked up to the internet. The more i think about it, the more i like the idea of it never being online. Kinda makes it hard for Oblivion mods though. The computer i use for all my net stuff, the one i'm typing on now, isn't even in the same house!

But i can post some Oblivion fps readings if someone can tell me how to do it.

Well I just ran it with the trial version and disabled and enabled vsync on my Nvidia panel. That is indeed an excellent score HT and if I were you I'd be braggin too ! Do you OC or is that your stock score? And when you ran it was vsync enabled in your ati panel or no?

Sever, hit the tilde (~) and type 'tdt' then enter then hit the tilde again. FpS should show up.

Sort of, My CPU's default clock is 2.4 but I was running it at 2.5, but apart from that, it's all standard.

I haven't found the need to overclock, but it wont be long, and then I will whip out the big scores

My god, that score is insane. IIRC you have a dual core and a 1900 ati, right? My score is so low in comparison, just would have liked to score higher. Yours added extra digits!
