IMHO, there cannot be a sequel to Torment. Period. It just would not work, unless of course they had a whole new story and kept it in the Planescape setting.

I agree... A new game in the Planescape setting could work, perhaps even with some of the old (minor) characters, but definitely not as a real sequel featuring the Nameless One. That story has been told completely now.

The story wasn't meant to have even an expansion

I miss my old copy of Torment... I lost it...

1. Considering how good P:T was I would defenitely buy the sequel. Can´t imagine how it work though, story-line and all that.

2. Yes, I did.

3. Morte the chattering skull.

4. Mage without doubt. There is not enough battles in the game to play a fighter and as far as I know not that many traps or good pick-pocket chances. Mages, on the other hand, benefit from high INT and so does dialogues and in P:T there are alot of talking. Besides, the fact that you can´t buy/loot from bodies all spell and have to learn some spells from NPC´s makes it even more interesting.

5. I wouldn`t go that far but it is very good.

6. Best thing of the game: the storyline.

I think that the diversity of the Planescape universe is almost endless. There should be tons of story ideas out there, but it takes creative people willing to think outside the box - way outside the box - to make it go. The Nameless One is finished. The story has been told. Just think, however, of the almost unlimited possibilities for another unique RPG.

Exactly. You could create one that is set in the Planescape setting, but is a completely different story. However, all of the latest D&D computer games are using 3rd edition rules, and Planescape has not been adapted yet, so it may be a while...

AAAH! I had to choose between Fall-From-Grace and Annah! And I love them both. (Who voted for Morte?) I know there will never be a sequel (Some smartass at Black Isle was quoted as saying "We are not working on a sequel, and it does not involve the Nameless One"). I would, however, like to see some mods, added areas, etc.
