I just gave myself the sword of balduran and dakkons zerth blade for dualwielding purposes. I invested already two proficiencies in two weapon style slot. How does it work? I get a THAC0 for my main and off hand and my number of attacks increases. Now when I strike, do both blades have a chance of hitting the foe simultaneously or are the combined modifiers responsible for landing a single blow? And if that is so, do the magical enchantments of both blades come into effect or is just dependent on which blade hits?

i mean, i see my kensai hack-N-slash away at enemies, but I'm at a total loss in determining when he is going to hit someone. Please ellaborate.

You get two attacks. Each weapon strikes separately. The main hand/off hand THAC0 is used for the separate attacks. If both weapons have magical attacks then both magical attacks will be applied. Hurry to add the third '+' to 2 weapons.

HINT: In the Game Configuration Menu, under Feedback, you can turn on "to hit" rolls and see in the text scrolling window your hit rolls for both (left) and (right) attacks. Not necessary, but can be fun; also for if you want to better understand how it works.

Cheers,

Basicaly it works like this:
When your off-hand (the hand you normally carry a shield in) has a weapon in it, it gives you one extra attack per round with that weapon.

You can put 3 stars into the Dual Wielding slot and all that does for the most part, is increase the Thaco of your off-hand.

Of special note: The Belm +2 Scimitar gives you 1 extra attack per round; however if you have it in your off-hand, it applies the extra attack, to your main hand so that your main hand has 4 (or 4.5 depending on your level) attacks per round and your off-hand still has 1 attach per round. So even if you aren't proficient in Scimitars, it still pays to have the Belm in your off-hand because you don't really lose anything.

Hope that wasn't too confusing.
