How many people other than myself simply Re-Load the last save whenver ANYONE in the party dies. I do this especially in big battles so that everyone can have a share in the XP. Even if it takes me multiple attempts, I have never quit until I succeeded with everyone in my party still breathing.

In multiplayer parties, this is how we do it:

If it's a player character (one of the players' own), we automatically reload, no questions asked.

If it's an NPC, we take a vote. Majority wins.

Cheers,

Auto reload on the spot, even during battles. (hardcore dnd friend hates me for that because in the dice and paper world, once someone's died, that's it...)

Nope, my own. The beserker dude is the guy I use when I play BG2 in multiplayer.

Thanks,

I used to reload at every death, but now I'm getting better at tolerating it. What's the point of toting a Rod of Resurrection around if you never use it?

Although I will reload if one of my guys commits some moronic error due to a crappy AI (like Jan deciding sneaking past some Mind Flayers would be cowardly, and opts to leave Stealth and shoot them instead).

Here's a question for everyone...Has anyone ever had someone die and leave them dead? i did that a lot my first time. Like Yoshimo and Korgan. Yoshimo got raped by the wands in the first dungeon and it never entered my mind to reload and with Korgan i just got sick of him complaining about finding his damn book so i left him dead. Anyone else do that?

I am always reloading whenever anyone of my guys dies. A good CRPG is a fairy tale for me. I treat all my characters as my children - and I want the best for them. The best equipment, the best skills, the best strategy, the best tactics, and the best development. Death does not belong to things I want for my characters.
Moreover, I am convinced that, in a good CRPG, death of a hero is a result of a blunder of the player. If it isn't the case and deaths aren't results of blunders then we have to reconsider the word "good".
