A Kirlean photographer once heard of a famous haunted house in the deep South. Therein dwelled an elegant lady spirit who had never yet been photographed. For, you see, kirlean photographers specialize in the ability to photograph the etheric realms.

Determined that he was going to be the first one to photograph the ghostly lady, the photographer took the first plane he could to New Orleans, then rented a car and drove along the levee road to the site of the ancient manse.

Entering, he saw a ghostly white form descending the stairs. It was the Spirit of the Lady of the manor, decked in her full Victorian regalia.

"Oh, my lady," the Kirlean photographer exclaimed, "I know that no one has been able to take your photograph, but I wish to entreat that you allow me to photograph you for my new book on the Spirit realm.

The lady smiled kindly on him. "All right," she said, her words echoing in his head telepathically, "I will allow you to photograph me for your book."

Ecstatic, the photographer set up his special equipment while the Spirit lady arranged herself on one of the antique chairs in the house. She smiled ingratiatingly as he snapped several pictures.

Thanking the ghostly lady, the Kirlean photographer packed up his equipment and headed back to the airport. When he got home, he immediately went to his darkroom to develop the pictures. Hanging them up, he was utterly dismayed to find they contained....nothing. No lady, no furniture, no mansion...nothing but blank negatives.

He learned a costly lesson:

Though the Spirit be willing, the Flash was weak.

Saz-
This was a great joke. Anything that has such a long torturous buildup and end with a pun deserves recognition.
