Question Mark

When a cat is dropped, it always lands on its feet, and when toast is dropped, it always lands with the buttered side facing down. I propose to strap buttered toast to the back of a cat; the two will hover, spinning inches above the ground. With a giant buttered cat array, a high-speed monorail could easily link New York with Chicago.

Nah, that won't work. When you butter a slice on all sides it just picks a random side and drops to the floor anyway. So, if a cat and buttered toast want to fall legs/butter first equally much, it'll just fall down like any bunch of cats strapped together, or a completely buttered roll. If one wants to fall butter/leg-way up more than the other, that one will get it's way and they'll fall too.

But, a cat with magnets strapped to paws and belly will be able to hover over another magnet and you can have your high-speed monorail that way

Cool. I'll try this with Pixie....
But it also depends on the weight of the cat, so mine might not work, she's so fat.

Some scientist actually made his promotion on the buttered toast-thing

He calculated the time it took for a buttered toast to rotate on to the buttered side in mid-air and proved it does this 'cause the buttered side is slightly heavier.

Then he collected data on the average height of dinnertables ( the things you sit behind when eating toast and he things you place your toast on ).
The results were that indeed, the rotationspeed of toast and the average height of the tables the toast falls from, result in the toast landing on the buttered side most of the time

I'm more worried that somebody took the time to find this out, and if he was sponsored...
Nevermind that most of the world's population has no clean water, we now know just why toast falls the way it does!

This is all well and good, but until they discover a way to make my cat help with the housework, I've got no interest
